    The Bolt Action Pic Thread

Let's see some pics of your favorite bolt action hunting/target rifles!

Here are a couple of my favorites:

We'll start with my favorite. Countless hours have been spent on taking this from a stock 5r to where it is today. Much thanks to Sagewa for all his help developing a custom load!

Rem700 5r in AICS 1.5 with FDE Viperskins:

This was an outstanding package deal. Everything in the pic (minus the cheek riser) from Bud's Gun Shop for $700. Out of the box performance was sub MOA on handloads.

    Howa Targetmaster .223:

An an old Mosin cut down and mounted in a monte carlo stock. Just because its a blast to shoot:

savage ftr in .308, this is my all time favorite rifle. with handloads this untrained monkey can do one inch groups at 300 yards. trigger is set to 11 ounces, and I have been thinking of dropping it off to fred for a 10 inch circumcision and a brake job.

My newest build, had to sell the Howa to fund this one, but I think I will be happy with it. Still need to do a bolt knob and a brake.

I cant wait to get out and pop it's cherry.

Heres my pride and joy! 20" Remington 700 SPS Tactical. McMillan stock, Badger Knob and scope base. Leupold 4-14 Mark IV. Shoots better than I do. Still not done yet. Needs bottom metal and a decent trigger. I should sell the damn thing and buy three decent guns!

Nice rifle! It will serve you well, keep fire forming factory brass, pick up some powder and bullets, load up some sweet rounds.

    Yeah it's just sick!!

Too bad it cost $2.50 a round for handloads. That day we shot the "light" loads, was like 220gr of Retumbo and a 350gr bullet....

The size of the action is almost as big as the handguard on that M4..lol
