    45 ACP 230gr JHP

I am new to reloading for my 45. Looking for a good bullet, brass, powder, and primers. I would like to load a 230gr JHP. Any suggestions?

Far a brass goes, I just buy once fired mixed head stamp, it shoots fine and is inexpensive.
I like CCI primers, always available and always go bang.
Pistol powders are still scarce, so I suggest getting whatever you can get your hands on. My preference is WW231 or AA#2, both ball powders and easy to work with.
Bullets depends on what your purpose is, plinking, target, IPSC, IDPA and etc.

Careful man, there's a beverage here!

I have been working on this load. I have found a 230 RN to be easier and cheaper for target purposes. I have been using a CCI 300, with either 5g of Bullseye or 5.5g of unique. I found the Brass to not be a big factor. Lyman's latest book is a good resource, also powder companies have reloading data online.
