    Damn I'm officially old.

Had to buy a much need accessory for my reloading bench...READING GLASSES. I fought this for along time. Too much pride. I got to the point where I was trying to sort .223 brass and could not read them. Not just a little, I mean can't see chit. Got my new specks and HOLY CRAP I can see what I'm doing! If your fighting this too, put the pride away and get some cheap Costco reading glasses. You'll be glad you did. And officially be old like me!

I became aware of this same phenomenon about 6 months ago. I was looking at a chapstick container and realized WTF, I cant read the writing on it...lol

I am still fighting it, know I need to hit Costco and get the variety pack of readers, just trying to prolong it awhile longer.

I want to reach into my pocket and touch my testicles, not reach in for my spectacles!

Yeah sucks. Wife and kids think it's funny. They wanted to buy me the Grandpa neck chain thing.I had some colorful language for that! Seriously bought the three pack at Costco. One for the reloading bench, one for work and one for around the house. Man I'm old!

Worst case scenario is prone shooting at various distances. I need specs to read my
range and data sheets, specs to see the turrets, etc. But have to take them off to
    use the scope.
I wound up with a pair of half frames (granny glasses!!) I can wear to read stuff
then tip my head down and look over them through the scope.

sucks to be old - but the alternative is unnacceptable.

I had to start wearing regular glasses a year or two ago :( But I don't have to take them off for reading or shooting, so that's good.
