I've used this tool alot for small and medium caliber stuff up to .30 so far and it works really, really good. But I have broken the 45 caliber collet twice now. It is very thin at the outer edge and the hardened steal breaks off at the very edge of the collet. Cabelas replaced it no questions asked but I think I'll give Hornady a call.

Got an e-mail from Hornady. They basically said due to the profile of 45 acp bullet their collet will not work. There isn't enough flat or semi flat surface to grab. The collet is over stressed right at the very end and breaks. Makes sense after the fact but wish they would have advertised that fact. I still like the setup for everything else
