I switched from 748 to h335 it seams to burn a bit cleaner and meters well. Last time I got it was at the link I am providing. you have to order a bit to spread out eh shipping cost but I don`t have to buy rifle power for a while. I just checked and they are out now but keep checking.

Just getting started doing some rifle stuff. Haven't done any yet. .223 for the AR and .308 for the Remmy 700. Buddy of mine recommended 748 for both and eliminating buying multiple powders. He's had very good luck with it. I'm sure there are better options and I'm not hurting to do anything right now. I know that Winchester doesn't make their own powders so what is the off brand of 748?

748 is going to be hard to find from what I have seen a powder that is similar is H335 so you have an other option there. I was lucky to find some online but if you order online to off set the cost you`ll need to order several pounds. On my last find I bought 7 or 8 pounds of H335 but that`s ok because I will use it all, if you don`t think you`ll use that much you may team up with someone near you to make it more economical. Here is where I found it last time http://store.thirdgenerationshootingsupply.com/ also you may check here http://www.gunbot.net/reloading/Powder/

I was getting low on h335, so went in on a deal with a friend for a few one pounders of AA2230, seems to do just fine for 55gr fmj's, which is all i have used it with so far.

Local Yakima Cabelas got a shipment of some strange powders I've never heard of. Next day they were all gone. Someones buying just to buy them. Still nothing I need. Drove to the Post Falls Idaho Cabelas last weekend..Not a damn thing. Gonna have to learn to reload everything with some Triple7 or Pyrodex!!!They got a whole rack full. Kind of reminds me I'm just about out of Triple7, should stock up!
